Blue Zircon Pendant Necklace • Natural Cambodian Zircon • Directly Sourced Natural Cambodian Zircon • Sterling Silver
$250.00Every piece begins with a stone worth noticing.
This blue zircon from Cambodia was hand-selected and directly sourced in Bangkok. Cambodia is the world's best-known source of vivid blue zircon, and this one was chosen for its bright ocean blue and the fiery sparkle zircon is known for, flashing with more brilliance than almost any other natural gemstone.
Handmade by me
I made the setting by hand in sterling silver: four secure prongs hold the cushion-cut stone, keeping it open to the light from every side. Finished with a lock design and a generous prong seat.
Natural zircon, not cubic zirconia
Zircon is a natural gemstone, one of the oldest minerals on Earth. It's often confused with cubic zirconia (CZ), which is a man-made simulant. They're unrelated apart from the name.

Care
Zircon is reasonably hard (around 6.5–7.5 on the Mohs scale), but its facet edges can chip if knocked. Avoid hard knocks, remove it before exercise, and store it separately so harder gems don't scratch it. Silver may develop a natural patina over time; polish gently with a silver cloth.
