Our pieces are made in 925 sterling silver or other metal bases, and many are finished with 18k gold plating. The metals are nickel-free and hypoallergenic, so they're comfortable for most sensitive skin, and treated to resist tarnishing.

Gemstones in the Noticed collection are natural stones. Our pearls are freshwater or saltwater cultured pearls, each mostly chosen by hand.

I mostly personally select every pearl and gemstone, one at a time rather than in bulk lots. Each one is chosen for its colour, form and character.

Natural gemstones, sourced in person

Our Noticed collection features natural gemstones I source myself in Sri Lanka and Bangkok, many in unusual colours you won't find in mass-produced jewellery. Because so many of these stones are one of a kind, some pieces are one-of-one and won't be restocked. The origin of each stone is listed with each piece.

• Put it on last, take it off first. Wear your jewellery after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and remove it before swimming, showering, exercising or cleaning.
• Clean gently. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. If needed, use a cloth lightly dampened with water, then dry thoroughly. Don't soak pearls or gemstone pieces, and avoid ultrasonic cleaners and jewellery dips.
• Store separately. Keep each piece in its own jewellery box so stones and plating don't get scratched.
