A stone cut to follow its own shape.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHandmade by me\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI made this ring by hand in solid sterling silver, with a substantial, weighty band. The stone sits suspended between the two ends of the band, held in place by precisely cut seats, so light reaches it from every side.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eA note on the setting\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTraditional tension rings are made in very hard metals such as titanium or hardened gold, where the band itself acts as a spring. Silver is softer, so this is a tension-style setting: the stone is held in seats cut into each end of the band.
